Belarus and CIS countries and Georgia
The development of bilateral relations with the CIS countries and Georgia is one of the main foreign policy and foreign economic priorities of the Republic of Belarus, which is due to a combination of historical, economic, political and cultural factors.
Belarus is looking to build mutually beneficial relations with the CIS member-states. At the same time, the most important area of cooperation is trade and economic ties. In 2021, the trade turnover with the CIS countries (without Russia) and Georgia amounted to 9.9 billion dollars.
Key trading partners are Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
