Belarus and Kyrgyzstan
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic were established on January 21, 1993.
On November 2006, the President of Kyrgyzstan paid an official visit to Belarus. The return visit of the President of Belarus took place on October 2008. In October 2014, September 2016, April 2017 and November 2019 and December 2022, within the framework of the meetings of the integration bodies in Minsk and Bishkek, the working meetings of the Presidents of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan were held. In November 2017 and 2023, the President of Kyrgyzstan paid a working visit to Belarus to attend a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
In 2001, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan paid an official visit to Belarus. In November 2018, June 2020, May 2021 and June 2022 in Minsk, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the meetings of the integration bodies. In March 2017, August 2019 and August 2021, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus took part in the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) in Kyrgyzstan. As part of the EIC meetings in February 2021 in Almaty and in November 2021 in Yerevan, bilateral meetings were held between the Prime Ministers of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
On October 2023, an official visit of a delegation of the Kyrgyz Parliament to Belarus, led by the speaker, took place. As part of the events of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on November 2023, a Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus visited Kyrgyzstan.
On July 2023, the first Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus were held in Kyrgyzstan.
The Intergovernmental Belarusian-Kyrgyz Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation was established in 2000. The eleventh meeting of the commission was held on August 2023 in Minsk.
The distribution network of Belarusian enterprises in Kyrgyzstan is represented by 71 business entities.
Cooperative projects are being implemented for the joint production of elevators and the assembly of transformers.
