Initiation of changes in import duties
The regulation for preparing initiative proposals is approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 200 of March 23, 2023, "On issues of consideration, preparation, and cancellation of acts of certain bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union".
The procedure for submitting to the Eurasian Economic Commission initiative proposals of the EAEU member states on establishing import customs duty rates (including seasonal rates), tariff quotas, cases and conditions for granting tariff preferences is approved by Decision No. 45 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission of April 27, 2015.
Such proposals are sent for approval to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as to concerned state agencies and other organizations.
The approved proposal is then forwarded to the Ministry of Economy.
