Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in trade and investments

In 2024, turnover amounted to more than 55 billion US dollars. Belarus' exports to Russia increased by 6.3%, while imports increased by 8.0%. 

Russia continues to be Belarus' main trading partner: in 2024, Russia accounted for more than 60 percent of the value of foreign trade in goods, almost 55 percent of exports, and more than 65 percent of imports. 

The turnover of foreign trade in services increased by 17% by the end of 2024 (January-November). Compared to 2023, exports increased by 15%.

In 2024, Russia accounted for more than 66 percent of the total volume of foreign investments attracted to Belarus during this period. The share of direct investments (FDI) from Russia in the total volume of direct investments attracted to Belarus amounted to more than 16 percent.
