Visa-free entry for citizens of a number of European countries

Citizens of 38 European states are eligible to enter Belarus without a visa via all international road and rail border crossing points on the State Border of the Republic of Belarus. Travellers may use any valid travel document and may remain in Belarus for up to 30 days from the date of entry. For citizens of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia (including holders of Latvia’s non-citizen status), the permitted stay is extended to 90 days from the date of entry.

Travellers may make use of this visa-free regime an unlimited number of times until December 31, 2026 inclusive. The total duration of visa-free stays must not exceed 90 days within a calendar year.

The visa-free entry regime previously applied at Belarusian airports remains fully in effect.

Foreigners arriving visa-free in Belarus will be able to transit, including through airport checkpoints, to third countries, except Russia. 

This arrangement does not apply to holders of diplomatic, service, special and other passports equivalent to them. At the same time, holders of biometric diplomatic passports issued by EU member states can enter, leave and transit through the territory of the Republic of Belarus without visas in accordance with the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union on the facilitation of the issuance of visas.
