Commentary by the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus on the development of the situation around Kosovo (August 2, 2022)
Belarus is closely following the development of the situation in the autonomous province of Kosovo. Temporary de-escalation obviously does not lead to a long-term solution to the accumulated differences.
We support Belgrade's negotiating efforts as the only way to achieve mutually acceptable compromises.
Belarus calls on all parties involved to take balanced approaches to finding ways to resolve the remaining differences and to abandon ill-considered and discriminatory steps that could undermine the fragile stability in this volatile region.
