Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus on the tragic consequences of the disaster in South-East Asia
The people of the Republic of Belarus are shocked by the number of tsunami victims in the South-East Asia.
This disaster became an international tragedy that involved many countries. It once again demonstrates the fragile nature of the world we live in and strongly reminds us the need to consolidate the efforts of the international community in early prevention of natural catastrophes and elimination of the consequences.
Belarus expresses its deep condolences to the governments of the countries whose citizens suffered from the disaster, and to the relatives of the deceased.
