Belarus’ MFA Statement on Recognition of Montenegro Independence
Respecting the right of the Montenegrin nation to shape their destiny independently, the Republic of Belarus declares its recognition of the Republic of Montenegro as a sovereign and independent state.
In view of the historical and cultural ties between the Belarusian and Montenegrin nations, we express our respect for the friendly Slavonic state and a hope for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
We intend to promote friendly relations with Montenegro based on the principles of mutual respect and equal partnership.
