Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus in connection with the signing of the Treaty between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the State Border

 

The Republic of Belarus welcomes the signing in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, of the Treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan on the State border.

The settlement of the differences between our two brotherly and friendly nations and the granting to the Kyrgyz-Tajik border the status of a border of eternal friendship has become a truly historic event, creating a solid basis for strengthening good-neighborliness and stability throughout Central Asia.

The Belarusian side expresses its full support for the constructive initiatives of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and stands ready to continue to provide the necessary assistance in strengthening peace and regional security.
