Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik participates in the Second Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan

On February 7, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, attended the II Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan. 

A number of contracts and agreements were signed during the event. In particular, representatives of the regions and business circles of the two countries agreed to step up  industrial cooperation, collaboration in agriculture, processing industry, education, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as to develop interaction in sports and tourism, training of personnel for the forestry industry, urban development and housing, communal services.

The Minister also visited the Belarusian Embassy in Uzbekistan, where he met with representatives of the Belarusian Cultural Centre "Svitanak. The sides discussed issues of holding joint events dedicated to national holidays and memorable historical dates. 

S.Aleinik noted the important contribution of the Cultural Centre "Svitanak" to the preservation and promotion of Belarusian traditions, language and culture, as well as an active work of the Centre with youth.le. 

Galina Tatarenko, Chair of Svitank, spoke about the activities of the Belarusian cultural centre and presented a photo album published with the support of the Belarusian Embassy in Uzbekistan to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Centre.
