Convention on Establishment of International Mediation Organization enters into force for Belarus

On February 13, 2026 the Convention on the Establishment of the International Mediation Organization entered into force for the Republic of Belarus. As a founding member of the organization, Belarus took an active role in drafting its charter and operational rules.
For reference: The International Mediation Organization is the world’s first intergovernmental body dedicated to resolving international disputes through mediation. Its core principle is achieving mutually acceptable solutions for both parties while prioritizing economic efficiency and the rapid execution of procedures.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, the organization focuses on providing mediation services for the resolution of both intergovernmental and private law disputes.
To date, the Convention has entered into force for 12 of the 39 signatory states.
