28 June 2024

On June 27, 2024 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Ambrazevich took part in the opening of the First International Gromyko Readings dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of Andrei Gromyko.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister noted that "Belarus as a state with an open economy in the center of Europe, directly feels the consequences of global shocks. Bloody conflicts, however unfortunate it may sound, have become commonplace. And, in fact, the time has come when the search for opportunities to defuse international tensions has become an extraordinary necessity for all countries and continents".

Yuri Ambrazevich also expressed the hope that such events in Belarus would be organically integrated into the dialog process set by the conference "Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World", which would result in a broader and more thorough discussion of the issues of forming a fair, safe and sustainable architecture of interaction in the Eurasian space in the security, economic and humanitarian spheres.
