First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich meets the Ambassador of the Philippines

On November16, 2024 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Belarus with residence in Moscow, Igor Garlit Bailen. 

The parties emphasized the importance for the Belarus-Philippines relations of the bilateral intergovernmental agreement on the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports signed on 15 November 2024, as well as further joint work on mutual simplification of visa formalities for the citizens of Belarus and the Philippines.

The sides discussed the progress in implementing the arrangements reached during the first round of the Belarus-Philippines political consultations held in Manila this October, as well as the results of the three-day visit of Ambassador I. G. Bailen to Belarus.

During the meeting, Sergey Lukashevich conveyed to the Ambassador of the Philippines a letter of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus addressed to the Commission on Elections of the Republic of the Philippines with an invitation to participate in the international observation of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus on January 26, 2025.
