Telephone conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov and Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republic of Srpska

On October 30, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, had a telephone conversation with the Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, who will take office as President of the country on 16 November 2024.

The Parties discussed in a positive way the state of bilateral relations, as well as a number of specific issues and promising topics of cooperation between Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

There was an exchange of views on the content of the II Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, which will start on 31 October 2024 in Belarus.

Željka Cvijanović stressed the importance of the event for finding ways of resolving crises and peaceful coexistence in Eurasia that are acceptable to all. The future President of Bosnia and Herzegovina wished the Belarusian Side success in holding the Conference and expressed sincere regret that she could not personally participate in the Conference for reasons beyond her control.

The parties agreed to maintain contacts and discussed bilateral events in the near future.
