Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov meets the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia

On July 3, 202 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, in Astana on the eve of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The Foreign Ministers discussed cooperation within the framework of the Organisation, of which Belarus will become a full member at the upcoming Summit, as well as prospective plans for cooperation in BRICS and other international structures.
The officials agreed to take additional joint steps to prepare for the International Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk, which will be held on October 31 - November 1, 2024.
Special attention was paid to the extensive bilateral agenda of the relations between Belarus and Russia and the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels.
