Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the CIS CFM

On April 13-14, 2023 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, held bilateral talks with the Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as part of his visit to Uzbekistan to participate in meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.

S.Aleinik emphasized the traditionally open, friendly nature and strategic level of the Belarusian-Uzbek relations during his meeting with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Baxtiyor Saidov. The two officials discussed a wide range of current topics of bilateral interaction.

The Foreign Ministers drew attention to the further intensification of trade and economic cooperation and industrial cooperation. The sides noted the considerable potential for strengthening ties and implementing joint projects at the regional level in Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The sides considered practical aspects of cooperation at international and regional integration platforms, humanitarian cooperation and the schedule of bilateral events and visits in the nearest future.

Following the meeting, a Programme of Consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Uzbekistan for 2023-2024 was signed.

 

 

The Belarusian Foreign Minister S.Aleinik met with the Deputy Prime Minister - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu. The Head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry congratulated his colleague on his appointment and wished him success in his responsible position.

The Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Kazakhstan expressed satisfaction with the progressive development of the bilateral dialogue and outlined further joint steps aimed at expanding cooperation in political, trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The need to intensify cooperation ties was emphasized.

The Ministers confirmed the focus of Minsk and Astana on further strengthening of the strategic partnership.

The sides agreed to sign the Program of Measures (Road map) between the two governments to develop trade and economic cooperation for 2023-2024 in the nearest future.

The sides also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.
