First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich visits Shanghai

On January 23, 2025 a Belarusian delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, met with the President of the BRICS New Development Bank, President of Brazil in 2011 – 2016, Dilma Rousseff, at the headquarters of the BRICS New Development Bank in Shanghai (PRC). The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
The parties discussed the development of financial mechanisms within the BRICS framework, as well as the prospects of Belarus’ admission to the BRICS New Development Bank.
S.Lukashevich also visited East China Normal University, where he met with the university administration, familiarized himself with the work of the Belarus Research Center at the university, and discussed the Center’s interaction with Belarusian organizations.
