First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich meets with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia

On April 2, 2025 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Ryabkov, in Moscow.

The parties discussed topical issues of interaction within BRICS and the modality of Belarus' participation in the BRICS activities in the status of a partner state granted to our country from January 1, 2025.

Belarus' readiness to actively engage in the BRICS work in three key dimensions of the Association: politics and security, economy and finance, culture and humanitarian ties, was emphasised.

One of the priority areas of multilateral cooperation within BRICS is the improvement of the international monetary and financial system and the use of mechanisms and resources of the New Development Bank for the implementation of investment projects on the BRICS space.

Sergey Lukashevich also took part in a solemn event on the occasion of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia at the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre.
