Ambassador of Belarus V.Rybak visits Iraq

On December 1, 2024 as part of his working trip to Iraq, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkiye and the Republic of Iraq, Viktаr Rybak, met with the Minister of Interior of Iraq, A. Al-Shammari.

The sides discussed the development of practical cooperation between the specialized agencies of Belarus and Iraq, expansion of the legal framework and exchange of experience.

The Ambassador discussed with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, Naeem Al-Aboudi, the possibilities of Belarusian-Iraqi cooperation in higher education, professional development and retraining of specialists, as well as the development of contacts between educational institutions of both countries.

V. Rybak also met with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Iraq, Ahmed Al-Mubarka.

The parties reached an agreement on further steps to expand cooperation in the field of training athletes and utilization of Belarusian sports facilities for this purpose.

Ambassador V.Rybak invited the senior officials of the Iraqi Ministries to visit the Republic of Belarus to continue contacts with the relevant officials.
