On the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Belarus and East Timor
02 October 2014On October 1, 2014 the joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of East Timor was signed at the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the United Nations.
From the Belarusian side the communiqué was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr.Vladimir Makei, from the East Timor – by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr.Jose Lois Guterres.
After the signing ceremony the ministers had a brief conversation, during which they discussed the specific prospects of cooperation within the framework of international organizations; bilateral cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as the creation of the bilateral legal framework.
