Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov pays an official visit to Kazakhstan (Day 1)

On April 14–15, 2026 the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, to the Republic of Kazakhstan is taking place.
On the first day of the visit, April 14, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry was received by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of the development of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as on current issues of the international agenda.
Maxim Ryzhenkov conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Kazakhstan from the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko. The Minister congratulated on the successful holding of the national referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He noted the high level of trust citizens have in the course pursued by the President of Kazakhstan, aimed at modernising the country and strengthening statehood.
Negotiations also took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev.

The sides discussed in detail a wide range of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, as well as the schedule of upcoming mutual visits at the highest and high levels. Particular attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation.
During the negotiations, the high level of interaction between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Kazakhstan was noted. Maxim Ryzhenkov invited his Kazakhstan's counterpart to pay an official visit to Belarus.

The interlocutors substantively examined the current situation on the world stage, specifically addressing cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan within international organisations and integration associations, primarily the UN, CIS, SCO and BRICS. They noted the similarity of approaches to building dialogue on multilateral platforms and confirmed their shared commitment to a more fair, multipolar world order.

On the same day, Maxim Ryzhenkov visited the international IT startup technopark "Astana Hub", where he familiarised himself with the technopark's digital infrastructure, a number of developments in the field of artificial intelligence and startup projects being implemented in Kazakhstan. The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry highly appreciated the prospects of bilateral cooperation in this field.
