First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich holds a briefing on BRICS

On September 9, 2024 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarusб Sergey Lukashevichб held a briefing on “Promotion of the Republic of Belarus in BRICS” for the diplomats of the member states of this organization accredited in Belarus.

The event was attended by representatives of Russia, China, India, Brazil, Iran and the UAE. Diplomats of the embassies of Egypt and Ethiopia with residence in Moscow also joined the briefing via videoconference.

All those participating in the briefing were informed about the work done by Belarus to join BRICS.

Foreign diplomats shared their views on the prospects of Belarus' accession to the organization in the near future.
