Minks hosts International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals

On June 6, 2024 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of Belarusian government authorities, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Office in Belarus and the Industrial Park Development Company, has organized the international conference and B2B session “Strengthening the Republic of Belarus Capacity for Sustainable Development Goals achievement: Strategies and Partnerships in the context of Modern Challenges and the Climate Agenda”.

The event took place in the Great Stone Industrial Park and aroused great interest. The conference was attended by more than 100 people, including invited managers of the Eurasian Economic Commission, experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), UNDP, representatives of the Hong Kong Federation of International Trade, a number of environmental organizations from the CIS countries and China, the diplomatic corps, business and scientific circles of Belarus and foreign countries. Chair of the Standing Commission on Legislation and State Building of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Mikhail Rusy, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the event. 

At the opening of the conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich, presented a report on the impact of national efforts to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals on the opportunities for economic and social development of the state, export growth and attracting international investment to the Republic of Belarus.
