Consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Zimbabwe were held in Harare

On October 11, 2022 the first round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Zimbabwe took place. The Belarusian delegation was headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Aleinik, the Zimbabwean delegation by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, David Musabayana.

During the consultations, topical issues on the bilateral agenda, the current state and prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Zimbabwean dialogue, including at a high level, and the possibility of expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the development of trade relations and investment cooperation. The parties confirmed the high mutual interest and discussed further joint steps in this direction.

The heads of the Belarusian and Zimbabwean delegations also exchanged views on the issues of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
