President of Belarus Congratulates His Compatriots on Day of State Emblem and State Flag (press release by press service of the President)

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated his compatriots on the Day of the State Emblem and the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus, which is a public holiday in our country and is marked every second Sunday of May.

Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that these essential symbols embody the sovereignty of our State, they reflect the main traits of character of the Belarusian people-creators, they represent cogently and convincingly the eventful history of our Fatherland.

"The emblem and the flag of our state, which are closely linked to labour achievements and feats of arms, inspire us to selfless work, new scientific discoveries, and athletic victories, " the message of felicitation says.
