Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the UNICEF Representative in Belarus

On February 12, 2021 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, met with the United Nations Children’s Fund Representative in Belarus, Tanja Radocaj.
The interlocutors discussed further practical cooperation between Belarus and the UNICEF in the context of new UNICEF country programme for Belarus for 2021-2025, as well as Plan of Actions to it.
Background Information: the country programme was approved by UNICEF Executive Board on September 2020 in New York. Programme activities aim to protect children from violence, create a safe and healthy environment for their development, including in cyberspace, and develop a system of restorative justice for minors. Summary budget of the country programme is almost 15 mln US dollars.
The parties also discussed joint efforts in overcoming by Belarus the coronavirus pandemic.
