On consultations on inventory of the bilateral legal framework and other international legal issues of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations

On December 17-19, 2024 Minsk hosted consultations between delegations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic on the inventory of the treaty and legal framework of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations and other international legal issues. 


The participants of the consultations were welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Andrei Popkov, Director of the General Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Rashad Gasanov, Director of the Department of International Law and Treaties of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Belarus, Maharram Aliyev, attended the meeting.

Within the framework of consultations, the parties discussed the status of the draft international legal instruments under consideration with a view to finalizing their harmonization and preparing them for signing. The lists of bilateral international treaties and other international documents in force between Belarus and Azerbaijan were updated, and information on the practice of their implementation was exchanged.
