Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov met with head of the OSCE ODIHR Mission Geert-Hinrich Ahrens
11 August 2008On 11 August 2008, Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov met with head of the OSCE ODIHR Election Monitoring Mission Geert-Hinrich Ahrens.
During the meeting, the officials exchanged opinions about organizing international monitoring of the forthcoming election of deputies of the Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly.
The head of the Belarusian diplomatic service hoped that the OSCE would make unbiased assessments about the election process in Belarus and that the parties would co-operate constructively.
