Signing the Plan of joint activities with the International Committee of the Red Cross for 2023

On January 20, 2023 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich, and the head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic of Belarus, Sebastian Fustier, signed the Plan of joint activities of state and other organizations of the Republic of Belarus and the ICRC for 2023.

This Plan is concluded on an annual basis in order to coordinate the actions of the Belarusian state bodies and the ICRC.

The plan, in particular, provides for projects for the exchange of experience between government bodies and organizations of the Republic of Belarus and ICRC experts in the field of migrant’s support, on the implementation of international humanitarian law, on supporting the capabilities of the Belarusian Red Cross in ensuring preparedness for emergency situations and responding to them, disseminating knowledge about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

For reference: The ICRC is an international humanitarian organization founded in 1863 in Switzerland. Acts on the basis of the principles of neutrality and impartiality, provides protection and assistance to victims of armed conflicts. It is an integral part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
