Handover of humanitarian aid to Cuba

On August 20, 2025 a solemn handover ceremony of Belarusian humanitarian aid to the Republic of Cuba was held in Havana.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus, Vitaly Borchuk, from the Belarusian side, and by the Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Immunology, Gilfredo Roque Garcia, from the Cuban side.

The ceremony was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.

Gilfredo Roque Garcia on behalf of the government and people of Cuba thanked Belarus for this gesture of goodwill and noted that the humanitarian aid provided by the Belarusian government, which includes 13 positions, including medicines, canned meat and whole milk powder, is timely and will contribute to improving the epidemiological and supply situation in Cuba.
