Signing Ceremony of the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Eurasian Economic Union on conditions for the presence of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union in the Republic of Belarus

On April 29, 2016 the signing ceremony of the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Eurasian Economic Union on conditions for the presence of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union in the Republic of Belarus was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

On behalf of the Republic of Belarus the Agreement was signed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aleksandr Mikhnevich, on behalf of the Eurasian Economic Union the Agreement was signed by the President of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union.

The Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014 establishes that Minsk is the seat of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union. Through concluding this Agreement the Republic of Belarus assumes responsibility for creating an enabling environment for functioning of the Court in the territory of our country and safeguarding of its high status.

Pursuant to the Agreement, the Republic of Belarus gratuitously transfers for the usage of the Court all the buildings and premises necessary for the implementation of its activities, located at 5 Kirova Street, Minsk. The

Agreement is a document that consolidates the legal basis for the regulation of the issues concerning the presence of the Court of Eurasian Economic Union in the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the conclusion of the Agreement is a significant milestone for the development and improvement of Eurasian Economic Integration processes.
