High-level International Conference “Eurasian security: reality and prospects in a transforming world”

On October 26-27, 2023 Minsk hosted a High-level International Conference "Eurasian security: reality and prospects in a transforming world".

The aim of the conference was to have a frank and inclusive discussion on the prospects for Eurasian security in the context of the existing world order crisis, chronic military and political contradictions between key global players and the almost complete lack of communication between them. 

Several specific topics were discussed during the event, including:

• Global and regional geopolitical prerequisites for Eurasian security;

• Economic integration and coupling in favour of a unified Eurasian security architecture;

• Interaction of international/regional organisations in the Eurasian space;

• Strategic stability and nuclear weapons: threats and opportunities for Eurasia in the new environment. 

The high-level conference was attended by CSTO, CIS, SCO member states, other countries of the OSCE region and Eurasia, heads of a number of international organisations, representatives of academia and a number of think tanks from about 30 countries.
