Minsk hosts third session of the joint Belarus-French Economic Commission on Economic Cooperation

On October 26, 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus hosted the third session of the joint Belarus-French Economic Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The Belarusian side was headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Oleg Kravchenko, the French side was led by the Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Baptiste Lemoine.

During the meeting, the parties analyzed the results of joint work over the past two years in the field of trade, economic and investment cooperation, discussed the prospects and priority for further development of economic cooperation, including in the areas of trade, ecology, agriculture, transport, tourism, financial sphere, as well as interregional relations and the development of the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.

Following the session, the sides signed the protocol of the meeting of the joint Commission, as well as the Intergovernmental Agreement on International Road Transport of Passengers and Goods.

On these days Minsk also hosts the Vth Belarusian-French Business Forum.

The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the Embassy of Belarus in France, the Minsk City Executive Committee and the National Center for Marketing and Price Study. The aim of the event is to intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and France.
