On April 18, 2019 the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in Minsk visited the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park “Great Stone” as part of a number of events introducing foreign diplomats to various spheres of life of the Belarusian state.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Administration of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park “Great Stone” and the Embassy of China in the Republic of Belarus. More than 60 foreign diplomats attended the event.
In his welcoming statement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Makei emphasized that Belarus with the understanding of an intense competition in the global investment market created for the industrial park residents the most favorable investment climate guaranteed by the national law, as well as by special international agreements and obligations. According to the Minister, today the “Great Stone”, known as a pearl of the Silk Road, is not only a successful example of the effective cooperation between Belarus and China in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, but also demonstrates the openness to the whole world with the transformation from Belarusian-Chinese project into international one. Now the residents of the Park are not only from Belarus and China, but also from the U.S., Israel, Canada and European countries.
One of the important steps towards the Park development will be an international forum to be held on June 2, 2019 at the “Great Stone” Industrial Park. It is organized in the framework of the “One Belt One Road” initiative.
Guests were welcomed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, Cui Qiming, and the Head of the Park Administration.
