Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus A.Dapkiunas meets the Parliamentary Delegation of Indonesia

On September 17, 2018 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Dapkiunas, met with the Indonesian Parliamentary Delegation during its’ visit to Belarus.

The Delegation is headed by the Chairman of Indonesia-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group, Dr. Adang Sudrajat, and includes more than ten Members of various Parliamentary Commissions.  The Chairman of the National Assembly Workgroup for Cooperation with Indonesia, Uladzislau Schepau, also took part in the meeting at the Foreign Ministry. 

During the meeting, the participants discussed current state and prospects for development of bilateral relations, as well as possible contribution of parliamentary groups to the promotion of new cooperation vectors between the two countries. 

The sides held a detailed revision of existing bilateral agreements that require ratification, as well as projects of interstate agreements that may be signed in the near future. The parties also considered the exchange of visits between the two countries at the high level and the issue of the importance of the opening of the Indonesian Embassy in Belarus. The two sides agreed to intensify direct contacts between the business circles of the two countries with the use of the potential of the cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce of Belarus and Indonesia.

Significant potential for further extension of mutual relations was emphasized during the negotiations. The sides also noted the readiness to enhance political, trade and various other vectors of relations, strengthen the bilateral legal base and continue the traditions of support in international organizations.
