Belarus’ Foreign Ministry flag-raising ceremony

On December 20, 2018 the flag of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus was raised.

The event was attended by the Foreign Minister, Vladimir Makei, ex-ministers Piotr Kravchenko, Vladimir Senko, Ural Latypov and Mikhail Khvostov, veterans of the Belarusian diplomatic service, management and staff of the Foreign Ministry, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country.

As V.Makei stressed in his statement, for the Ministry, the flag is, first of all, a symbol of patriotism, devotion and loyalty of each Belarusian diplomat to his native state and people.

The flag-raising ceremony is also a symbolic start of a very special year for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2019, Foreign Ministry will mark an important historical milestone that is the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian diplomatic service.

V.Makei expressed appreciation to the representatives of the diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations who shared this solemn moment with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
