10th Eastern Partnership Informal Ministerial Dialogue

On June 21 – 22, 2018 Minsk hosted 10th round of the Informal Ministerial Dialogue of the Eastern Partnership (EaP).

The foreign policy segment of the event on 22 June under the chairmanship of Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei brought together Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Daniela Morari, and Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Ihor Kyzym.

The European Union was represented by European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service Jean-Christophe Belliard.

During the plenary session, the Heads of Delegations exchanged views on future development of the Eastern Partnership in the light of the outcomes of the EaP Brussels summit in 2017, as well as on the regional situation. The participants of the meeting discussed implementation of the “20 deliverables for 2020” endorsed at the summit and financing of relevant projects and programmes.

V.Makei presented Belarus’ position on participation in the Eastern Partnership and stressed the importance of developing the EaP as a non-confrontational result-oriented mechanism of regional cooperation.
