Permanent Representative of Belarus V.Rybakov participates in the UN Security Council Meeting

On 22 May, 2018 the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov took part in the UN Security Council Open Debate on the Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflicts.
The issues of strengthening the UN-led international efforts aimed at ensuring safety of peaceful population during military confrontations were discussed at the meeting.
Belarus addressed the root causes leading to sufferings of civilians and noted its contribution to settlement of regional conflicts including tensions in the South-Eastern part of Ukraine.
