Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Andrei Dapkiunas participates in the parliamentary hearings on Sustainable Development Goals

On December 19, 2017 the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus hosted parliamentary hearings on “Partnership of the branches of power as a prerequisite for successful achievement of Sustainable Development Goals”.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Andrei Dapkiunas, took part in the event.

In his statement entitled “International cooperation on sustainable development as an instrument of foreign policy” the deputy head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted the contribution of Belarus to the process of elaboration of Sustainable Development Goals, as well as outlined the prospects for cooperation with international partners for achieving the SDGs.

The parliamentary hearings on Sustainable Development Goals were held in Belarus for the first time. The event gathered MPs of the both chambers of the Belarusian Parliament, representatives of government, public organizations, diplomatic corps and international experts.
