Ambassador of Belarus S.Terentiev visits Sudan

On January 28, 2020 during his visit to Khartoum, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt and Sudan non-resident, Sergei Terentiev, presented Credentials to the Head of the Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan, Abdel Fattah Burhan.
The sides discussed current state and prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Sudanese relations in various fields.
During the visit to Sudan, S.Terentiev also met with the Minister of Energy and Minerals of this country, Adel Ali Ibrahim, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elsiddieg Abdulaziz Abdalla, the leadership of “GIAD” Industrial Group and Agricultural Bank of Sudan.
The sides discussed implementation of joint projects in the industrial and agricultural spheres including cooperation in the areas of mining and supplies of Belarusian granaries to Sudan.
The issues of preparation of the next meeting of the Belarusian-Sudanese Joint Commission on Cooperation and political consultations at the level of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countries in 2020 were also considered.
