Second Session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Romanian Commission on economic cooperation

On May 11, 2016 Minsk hosted the second session of Intergovernmental Belarusian-Romanian Commission on economic cooperation. 

The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alena Kupchyna, the Romanian delegation was led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and the Business Environment, Vlad Vasiliu.

During the plenary session, the sides discussed wide range of issues of mutual interest, including interaction in trade, industry, agriculture, transport, scientific and technical cooperation, tourism, interregional contacts. Following the results of the achieved agreements, the parties signed the final Protocol, which determines areas of cooperation for the next year period.

On May 11, 2016 in the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission Minsk hosted the Belarusian-Romanian business forum organized jointly by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the chambers of commerce and industry of Romania and region Prahova.
