Belarusian-Slovenian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation

On June 27, 2017 Minsk hosted 7th meeting of the Belarusian-Slovenian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.



The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, together with the Director General of the Directorate of Economic and Public Diplomacy of the Foreign Ministry of Slovenia, Robert Kokalj, chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to focus on further strengthening of cooperation in such areas as agriculture and processing, energy, industrial cooperation, telecommunications, science and innovation, tourism. The sides also agreed to continue working on identification of new promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects by the Slovenian company “Iskratel” and the Belarusian Railways, including the implementation of projects in third countries, by the pharmaceutical company “Krka” and the Borisov Medicinal Drug Production Plant, and the expansion of cooperation between Belarusbank and “SID Banka”, that signed a Memorandum of Understanding.



The agreements reached during the session of the Commission were reflected in the final Protocol.
