Ambassador of Belarus I.Sokol meets the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine

On June 16, 2020 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Ukraine, Igor Sokol, met with the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of development of Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian sphere, as well as preparations for the III Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine, which will be held in October 2020 in Grodno. The invitation of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G.Lukashenko addressed to the President of Ukraine V.A.Zelensky to pay an official visit to Belarus in 2020 and take part in the III Forum of Regions was extended to the Ukrainian side.

The results of the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level following the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Ukraine in Zhytomyr on October 4, 2019 were a further topic of discussion.

During the meeting, the Belarusian Ambassador handed over Belarusian embroideries for the President of Ukraine V.A.Zelensky and his wife – a return gift from the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G.Lukashenko.
