Briefing for the diplomatic corps on “Zapad-2017”

On September 11, 2017 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a briefing on joint strategic exercises of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation “Zapad-2017”.



56 Heads and representatives of diplomatic missions from 37 countries and international organizations accredited in the Republic of Belarus took part in the event.

Participants of the briefing were informed about the main issues related to the preparation and holding of exercises on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

During the event, it was emphasized that the Belarusian side is making every effort to ensure that the exercises on the territory of Belarus would be conducted in a safe, transparent and efficient manner.
