Deputy Foreign Minister Y.Ambrazevich takes part in the 9th Meeting of the Advisory Council on the Affairs of Belarusians Abroad at the Foreign Ministry of Belarus

On December 16, 2024 the ninth Meeting of the Advisory Council for Belarusians Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus was opened under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich.

In his statement Y.Ambrazevich informed the participants of the Advisory Council about the social, political and economic situation in the country and expressed readiness for further implementation of joint initiatives.

For their part, representatives of the Belarusian diaspora confirmed their support for the political course pursued by the Head of State.

The dialog with Belarusians abroad within the framework of the Advisory Council demonstrated the importance and demand for this platform to discuss urgent issues and promising areas for improving cooperation with the Belarusian diaspora.

Expanding the membership of the Advisory Board and its geographical representation testify to the increased interest of Belarusians abroad in the events in Belarus and the desire to strengthen and deepen ties with the historical motherland.

During the event, the results of interaction between the state and the Belarusian diaspora for 2024 were reviewed, and plans for further development of cooperation were discussed.

Background Information: the event was attended by heads of public associations of Belarusians abroad from 12 countries, representatives of state bodies and institutions, public organizations.

The Advisory Council will continue its work until December 19, 2024.
