Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Austria on informational issues

On October 11, 2016 Vienna hosted Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Austria on information issues.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Head of the Department of Information – Press Secretary of the MFA, Dmitry Mironchik, Austrian delegation was led by the Head of Press and Information Department — Press Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, Thomas Shnöll.

The participants discussed prospects of cooperation in the field of information, including on international venues, and also in the view of the forthcoming in 2017 Belarus’ Presidency of the CEI.

The sides exchanged experience in information support of foreign policy, discussed issues of organization of press conferences and briefings, moderation of websites, social networking, accreditation of foreign journalists, coordinating of informational work of the missions abroad, the development of contacts with the media, including foreign, as well as information support of significant foreign policy events.
