Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Barysevich participates in the fifth Session of the Belarus-Pakistan Business Council

On October 5, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mikalai Barysevich took part in the fifth Session of the Belarus-Pakistan Business Council.

The event took place in Minsk under the auspices of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

In his statement, M.Barysevich stressed the strategic nature of the Belarusian-Pakistani relations, noting the importance of ensuring the progressive development of promising growth points.

The increase in the volume of mutual sales of traditional products, the creation of joint ventures for production of Belarusian equipment in Pakistan, surgical instruments, leather goods in Belarus, and joint clusters for the production of popular medicines were emphasized as key areas of economic cooperation between the two countries.

There was noted the need to attract Pakistani capital for the implementation of projects to modernize Belarusian textile enterprises, as well as the importance of developing joint agricultural production, building up cooperation in the scientific and technical sphere with direct access to the production cycle.

The bilateral cooperation in the field of education with the aim of professional and technical training of Pakistani specialists using Belarusian educational technologies was also represented as promising.

The Deputy Minister stressed that the designated areas of joint work fully reflect the economic interests of both the Belarusian and Pakistani Sides.
