Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Oleg Kravchenko visits the United States of America

On October 3, 2017 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, began his working visit to the United States.

The Deputy Minister discussed with the Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Gary Litman, prospects for collaboration to develop trade and economic relations with the United States.

On October 4 O.Kravchenko met with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bridget Brink. The meeting focused on the state and prospects of further development of bilateral relations.

O.Kravchenko held meetings with the Chairman of the U.S. Helsinki Commission, U.S. Senator, Roger Wicker, and the Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Eliot Engel.

At the meeting with the Chair of the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of the America’s Heritage Abroad, Leslie Weiss, the parties discussed joint efforts to preserve historical heritage.

During his stay in Washington, Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister held a briefing at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and met with management and staff of leading Washington think tanks: the Kennan Institute, the Jamestown Foundation and RAND Corporation. During the meetings representatives of American analytical community were briefed about the key directions of the Belarusian foreign policy.
