Ambassador of Belarus I.Petrishenko participates in the session of the Committee on Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council

On January 18, 2017 in Moscow the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the CIS Economic Council, Igor Petrishenko, participated in the session of the Committee on Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council.

Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the termination of  decisions of the CIS Economic Council.

I.Petrishenko paid special attention to the practical implementation of the decisions of the CIS Council of Heads of State of September 16, 2016 on the adaptation of Organization to modern realities that implies updating its’ legal framework, full implementation of the opportunities of the existing CIS free trade zone, necessity to develop common public procurement market and create conditions for free trade in services.

Belarusian diplomat drew attention of the Committee and the CIS Executive Committee to the key points of our country's position regarding further modernization of the CIS, declared by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, during the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS member states to the CIS Statutory and other bodies.
