Statement by the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus in connection with the ballistic missile test conducted by North Korea

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus regrets to note that the launch of ballistic missile by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea violates both norms of international law and the provisions of a number of the UN Security Council resolutions.

The Belarusian side continues to proceed from the principle that both regional and international sustainable peace and stability can be achieved only on the basis of open and constructive dialogue.

Thus, Belarus calls to abandon any actions that could lead to the escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula and in the region in general.
